MORE ABOUT POETRY

Strangers         adrift
on separate continents
hone-in on the signal: a
belly-spark — and then
embark; each camp packed
and hauled over the pass, each team
tests the echo wall, sends a probe-line
into the crevasse, but deeper
than that:
nucleic core
where no one lives.
The Buddhists say: it is
that emptiness.
